Run This: Back on My Feet Pajama Loop

Help BoMF support the homeless by running this fun race-in your onesie

Ditch the gear and sport your PJs for this race

We all know that running torches calories, speeds metabolism, and increases endurance, but it can also lay the groundwork for building an overall more prosperous life. Back on My Feet Philadelphia engages the homeless living in shelters across the region in a six- to nine-month running program meant to build the confidence and sense of self-worth necessary to struggle through adversity. Committed members earn the opportunity to participate in job training workshops and the chance to gain $1,250 in financial aid. On July 17, BoMF will host their second annual Pajama Loop, an 8.4-mile run beginning at Lloyd Hall. You can pay the $50 registration fee up front or choose to fundraise it, but all proceeds will assist the non-profit organization. Roll right out of bed and head over in your PJs to make the 6 a.m. start time (no, underwear doesn’t count). Don’t be afraid to flaunt your onesie either; the runner with the best set of pajamas gets an award! – Kathryn Siegel
