I’m sure I’m not alone in this. It’s just that after spending an annoying amount of time making your hair look just so—spraying it, shellacking it, willing it to utter perfection—the last thing you want to do is ruin it with a sweaty, smelly, plastic helmet. Can I get an amen?

So when a slide show called “Helmet Hair, Begone! We’ve Got 5 Bike-Friendly Styles” showed up in my Facebook feed, I clicked. I mean, of course I clicked.
