In a much less dramatic fashion than the five-hour-sell-out Broad Street Run earlier this year, the Philadelphia Marathon quietly filled its last 400 spots on Friday to officially reach its 26,000-runners max for the November 18th race.
Not to worry if you didn’t get on the horn for this—there are still bibs for the Rothman 8K, which happens on November 17th. The entry fee for that race is $45. Or, if you still have your sights set on the marathon, you can sign up with one of the race’s 34 charity partners, which have bibs reserved for fundraising runners. The list of charities is here.
Volunteers are also needed for any nonrunners who want to hand out refreshments at the water stations or finisher medals and food at the finish line. More info on that is here.
