I’ve had several readers ask me recently for recommendations for a good beginner’s yoga class or series. So here. Here it is.

On Sunday, October 14th, head to Hotbox Yoga to learn the basics at a How to Start a Yoga Practice workshop. Yogi Lauren Foster will teach the whats, hows, and whys from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The class will include demonstrations of various poses, as well as time for questions. Note that the practice will be heated—this is Hotbox Yoga, after all—so you should bring a towel and lots of water. More info is here.

$18, October 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Hotbox Yoga, 4163 Main Street, Manayunk.
