If last year’s massive turnout at The Color Run 5K is any indicator, this year’s race, slated for July 14th, will be a quick sell-out. Color Runners, take note: Registration for the 2013 race officially opens this Friday, February 15th, at 12:01 a.m.; you’ll be able to sign up here at that time.
For the uninitiated: The Color Run is an über-popular 5K road race, in which runners start out clean as daisies and dressed in white. At each kilometer, volunteers blast runners with (non-toxic) colored cornstarch. Which means? At the end of the race, you look like a human tie-dye experiment—in the best possible way, of course.
Last year marked the race’s inaugural run, and participants—there were 26,000 of them here in Philly—raved about it. Read more about The Color Run and see photos from last year over at our Color Run recap.
