To Do: Merrell Down and Dirty Mud and Obstacle Run

To do immediately afterwards: shower

Get ready to get down and dirty, Be Wellers, because this race isn’t leaving anyone clean.

The Merrell Down and Dirty National Mud and Obstacle Course will be gracing Fairmont Park the fourth year in a row on July 14th. With the choice of 5K or 10K course, runners will start off by trudging through water crossings ando end up on secluded trails that will have them forgetting that they’re surrounded by city life. If that sounds difficult, wait until the rolling hills that follow, and who could forget about the messiest obstacle of all: the mud pit that stands between runners and the finish line. Think you’re up for the challenge? Find out more and register here. And if you need tips on how to train for a mud run, check out our expert Q&A here.

5K starts at $60, 10K starts at $70, Race date is July 14th at 7 am (5K starts at 8:30), Fairmount Park, Philadelphia.
