TO DO: SPIN4EQUALITY AT THE ART MUSEUM

Spin for a good cause at the Rocky Steps.

Posted by Courtenay Devlin on 8/17/2012 at 1:04PM | 1 Comment

Don’t be alarmed if you see an army of people on spin bikes at the Art Museum on September 8th. An event called Spin4Equality, a one of a kind spin-a-thon, will take over the steps for a few hours that day to raise money for Vision for Equality, an organization that helps thousands of disabled people in Pennsylvania receive help and guidance, enabling them to be a part of the community. To reserve a bike, raise a minimum of $250 and sign up online. One of the spinning bikes will be yours for two hours (you can share the bike with a friend if two hours is too long). And, if the glorious view of the city isn’t enough to get you going, Hannah Purbe, fitness director and spinning instructor at the Sporting Club at the Bellevue, will instruct the ride, and there will be a live D.J. to pump up participants. More information here.

$250 (in fundraising), Saturday, September 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Philadelphia Museum of Art, 2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia
