Bride-to-be-Blogger Leslie: My Make-up Trial Run

Things are really starting to get checked off of my little list of wedding to-do items. This week marks the seven-month countdown before our Big Day, and I really feel like we are in a good place. We have lots of things taken care of, and we are on the ball with what else we need to do! It feels good to be organized.

In honor of being ‘on the ball’ in terms of wedding plans, I decided to team up with my friend, Meredith, who is a make-up pro, and get her opinion on how to do my make-up for the wedding day. Meredith, being as awesome as she is, offered to help me with picking out some new make-up (can you ever really have enough?) and then we did a mini trial run for the wedding.

In terms of wedding make-up, I want something simple and classic. I don’t wear too much make-up as it is, so I wanted to keep it to a minimal, but I also want to look nice for the pictures. I don’t want to look too different from what I look like on a daily basis, but at the same time, I want to bring out my natural beauty. I think what Meredith came up with is a great compromise for me.

A little accent of color to bring out my eyes, some foundation to even out my skin tone, and a touch of blush to give that sun-kissed look. I am really happy with what we picked out together, and her application. While we still have seven months to go, putting some final touches on my wedding make-up made me even more excited for the Big Day!

Did you do a trial run for your wedding make-up? What was most important to you in the make-up process/application?
