Bride-to-be Blogger Jennifer: An Update on Invites

It looks like the invites have been chosen. We have our save-the-dates ordered, and if those come out as expected, the invitations will follow shortly thereafter. Phew!

I want to thank all of you who posted on my initial blog about invites: Lauren — I went to VistaPrint.com, and we actually thought we had a winner. Luckliy, I could order a small quantity, but unfortunately, the colors did not match up. I didn’t find anything on their site about custom colors, so that took us back to the drawing board. I started researching other online and relatively inexpensive invitation companies and found that they are in abundance … so many choices.

Ultimately, we ordered our save the dates from MagnetStreet.com. They are magnets — which you probably assumed — but they offer a ton of other products, too: invites in all shapes and sizes, notepads, return address labels, table number cards, escort cards, thank you cards … you name it … it’s there. And what’s even better, they allow you to create a custom color. You just need the CMYK color combinations. One of my bridesmaids has a Pantone color book, and she was able to match the swatch of fabric closely to a color in the book. So it seems like for now, the invitation mystery has been solved and we’re really happy with the designs they offer. Crossing our fingers that the save-the-dates meet our expectations.
