JUST OPENED: The Style Studio
Finding your perfect bridal look can be a daunting task. There’s the Dress, of course — and then you’ll want to find the perfect shoes and accessories to accompany it. On top of that, many brides-to-be we talk to aren’t sure where to start looking the right makeup look for the Big Day — not to mention, the right artist to apply it.
Happily for all Philadelphia-area brides, makeup master Béke Beau (right) and her friend Megan Kristel (left), of style consultant company Kristel Closets, have recently teamed up to open a new studio in the heart of the Main Line. At The Style Studio, a quaint, 400 square foot-space in Ardmore’s Suburban Square, you can consult with either lady on style, makeup — or both. If it’s beauty assistance you’re after, just make an appointment with Béke (who’s worked with the likes of Catherine Zeta-Jones and designer Nicole Miller), and she’ll help you with everything you need, from makeup lessons to a beauty trial and makeup application on the day of the wedding. If requested, she’ll even stick around until after the ceremony for touchups — just in case your waterproof mascara doesn’t hold up as well as you’d hoped. And along the way, she’ll offer you personalized advice on how to find the right products, so you can incorporate them into your every day beauty regimen.
And if you’d like a little guidance when it comes to choosing your dress — and even the dress(es) for your ‘maids! — Megan can help with that. With her, you’ll talk about your personal style, your venue and other aspects of your Big Day, and with that information, plus your body type, she can help you on your quest. And when it comes to finding the dresses for your bridesmaids, she’ll not only help you search for a dress or few that’ll complement all your ladies, she’ll help organize, and coordinate fitting appointments with everyone’s schedules. (And beyond the Big Day, she offers closet consultations, too, identifying your personal style, weeding out your wardrobe, and helping you build it up by filling in any gaps. The perfect way to kick off your life as Mr. and Mrs. In great style.)
The Style Studio also hosts various events, including workshops, trunk shows and sample sales.
