TLC’s New Show I Found The Gown Focuses On The Frugal Bride

As if Say Yes to the Dress—the original and all 400 of its spin-offs—wasn’t enough to quell your desire for wedding-related television, TLC is at it again with yet another show surrounding the hunt for the Dress. (Complete with rhyming moniker, of course.)

Come August, I Found the Gown will be the latest series to follow soon-to-be brides as they scour through racks in search of the dress of their dreams. This time however, the show’s focus is specifically on the frugal bride—and a couple who prides themselves on offering beautiful gowns at bargain prices at their Boston designer bridal outlet, VOWS. The shop will serve as the show’s home base, and the owners, Leslie and Rick DeAngelo, as the expert consultants.

I Found the Gown will document Leslie and Rick’s ventures into factory attics and department store warehouses as they seek out discount designer dresses—as well as their appointments with eager brides on tight budgets. (Interested in sharing your story? Find out about casting opportunities here.)

Also coming up in the matrimonial department is the second season of TLC’s Brides of Beverly Hills, which we have, for some reason, not yet checked out yet, but now, definitely need to: Similar to what an episode of Real Housewives would look like with a few wedding gowns thrown in, viewers will witness bridal stylist and salon owner Renée Strauss and her team as they find the perfect dress for even the most dramatic of Beverly Hills brides. That new season begins in October.

So, just add them to the list (which includes, we’re just guessing, Four Weddings, My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding, Say Yes to the Dress, Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta, Say Yes to the Dress: Big Bliss, Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids, Randy to the Rescue) of wedding shows you obsessively watch, DVR, and torture your fiancé with. (But don’t worry, we love them too.)

Will you watch?
