Vera Wang On Her Wedding Gowns, Inspirations and Success

Vera Wang recently spoke with Australian Vogue about a variety of topics concerning her storied, successful career in fashion and bridal.
She talks about what she keeps in mind when designing a wedding dress (she wants to strike a balance, basically, between doing cool, current fashion stuff and keeping in mind the needs and realities of an actual bride who’s going to wear her gowns); her various color bridal collections (we’ve featured her nude and black and red gowns in the magazine and on the blog, and think they’re super cool); the most memorable moment in her whole career; and what her inspirations are for doing it all.
It’s always interesting to hear someone at the top of their game talk about, well, their game. And each time she comes out with a collection, we are wow-ed and inspired all over again, which is a pretty impressive thing when you’ve been churning out wedding gowns for as long as she’s been churning out wedding gowns. Go Vera Wang!
