Marchesa’s Fall 2013 Bridal Collection: Now Available in Philadelphia at Elizabeth Johns!

Marchesa's Fall 2013 Bridal Collection: Now Available in Philadelphia at Elizabeth Johns!

Philadelphia Wedding editor Carrie Denny and Randy Fenoli from TLC's Say Yes to the Dress at the Elizabeth Johns opening in Ardmore.

So at the end of last week, a few of us here at PW happily attended the opening of a brand new bridal salon in Ardmore, Elizabeth Johns.

And let me tell you: Oh, are we pumped about the opening of Elizabeth Johns.

The party was really something itself—fab catering, gorg flowers, and a flippin’ tent erected in the middle of Suburban Square in which took place a serious fashion show featuring the eveningwear and bridal lines the store is carrying—and we’ll be posting pictures from it on the Philadelphia Wedding Facebook page very soon. (This one right here is of yours truly and Randy Fenoli—yep, from TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress—who hosted the evening’s festivities.)

But the salon itself is something that we are just genuinely excited about. Anytime there is a fabulous, independent addition to the Philadelphia wedding industry, it makes us happy, as it just solidifies our stance that, thanks to the endless talent and strength of wedding vendors and shops and businesses here, no Philly bride has any need to go elsewhere for her Big-Day services—and Elizabeth Johns has just added to that. The owner, Melinda Ladyzinski, opened the first location of Elizabeth Johns in Morristown in 2011 after having an underwhelming experience while shopping with her daughter for her daughter’s wedding gown, deciding that she could do it better herself, and then selling her real estate business and setting out to do it.

The Ardmore store is her second location, and it’s right in the former Priscilla of Boston space—longtime Priscilla manager Jill Leach is actually Elizabeth Johns’ new manager, now. It’s a beautiful, open, light space, and the bridal lines are making us squeal with happiness: Manual Mota and Elie Saab and Pronovias, Rose Taft and Lela Rose and Liancarlo, Carolina Herrera and Anne Barge and Marchesa.

It’s the first time Marchesa bridal has been in the Philadelphia market, and to celebrate, we thought we’d show the entire Marchesa Fall 2013 collection* from Bridal Market, which ended last week. Talk about squealing with happiness.

Which one’s your fave?
