Even though candlelight is, in my opinion, one of the loveliest mood setters a wedding can have—it just creates the prettiest, most romantic ambiance ever—I do find myself acting (or at least thinking) like someone’s crazy mother when I find myself at a celebration that’s got it everywhere. Every time someone walks by the table and the tiny gust of wind makes the leaves in the centerpiece dip down towards the flame of the votives, or a waiter’s sleeve brushes by as he refill the rolls, I sharply inhale.
And this is why! With open, albeit beautiful, flame, this stuff just happens. Watch as South African wedding photographer Jacki Bruniquel‘s curly locks literally go up in flames when she inches too close to a lit candle during this couple’s ceremony.
