10 Ways To Make Your Wedding-Day High Heels More Comfortable

10 Ways To Make Your Wedding-Day High Heels More Comfortable

It's always a good idea to break in your wedding-day heels before the Big Day.

No matter how beside yourself with excitement you were when you finally found your perfect, gorgeous, seemingly made-for-you wedding-day shoes, you’ve probably worn enough heels in your lifetime at this point to know that the following statement is true: If you leave those shoes in the box from the day you buy them until the morning of your wedding when it’s time to slip them on, it is going to be a rather painful walk down the aisle.

You’ve also probably worn enough heels in your lifetime at this point to know that at the very least, it’s a good idea to break them in—pictured to the right, here, are the tootsies of our photo director, Jess, breaking in her sparkly, wedding-day Jimmy Choos with thick, wooly socks (all the better to stretch them out a little bit!) during the days right before her wedding as she puttered about her apartment.

But there are even more things you can do to assure you don’t want to abandon your beloved new friends before you even have your first dance—and so we’re sharing this super helpful roundup from SheFinds on ways to make your heels just a bit more comfortable. Some of them, we’ve never heard before—freeze a bag of water in your shoe?—and some of them, we’d like to try immediately, like those cool strappy-strip thingies.

Anyone else have any tried-and-true tricks for breaking in heels or making them more comfortable while you’re actually wearing them? Please share with the class!
