Bride-to-be Blogger Carly: My Husband’s Sexy Wedding Ring

Creatas

A package arrived for Sean a week ago. I knew what was inside based on the shipping label, and couldn’t wait for him to get home and open it. When Sean walked in the door I excitedly handed him the large envelope, encouraging him to open it immediately. He ripped open the seal and took out the envelope’s contents. “Try it on!” I begged.

A few minutes later Sean was wearing the sexiest thing I’d ever seen. I stood in front of him, swooning, and told him that I couldn’t wait for him to wear it everyday! What was it, you ask? If your mind went to the gutter, get it out—it isn’t anything like that! It was his wedding band.

CELEB ROUNDUP: TODAY SHOW CO-HOST SAVANNAH GUTHRIE GETS ENGAGED; SHENAE GRIMES GETS MARRIED IN A BLACK VERA WANG WEDDING DRESS

CELEB ROUNDUP: Today Show Co-Host Savannah Guthrie Gets Engaged; Shenae Grimes Gets Married In a Black Vera Wang Wedding Dress

Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie, flashing her new engagement ring.

Some fun bits of celeb wedding news from the weekend! We’ve got one engagement and one marriage.

Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie got engaged to political guy and boyfriend of four years Michael Feldman over the weekend, and then announced it on Monday morning’s show after her colleagues failed to notice her new bling (pictured to the right, as snapped by Al Roker). And, despite Mr. Roker’s jokes, she says they will not be getting married on TV.

And then, I remember back when Vera Wang did her entire Fall 2012 bridal collection in nude and black—she says she was inspired by lingerie—PW’s fab stylist, Lauren Kozaciewicz, and I were talking about how pretty we thought the dresses were, but wondered how many brides would actually wear one for their wedding dress. Well, today we have our answer: 90210‘s Shenae Grimes! The actress married her British model boyfriend over the weekend wearing a black tulle number from that very collection. The only other celeb to famously wear a black wedding dress that comes to mind is Sarah Jessica Parker—and she holds to this day that she regrets it. Hopefully Ms. Grimes doesn’t feel the same way in a few years.

VIDEO: NFL PLAYER’S FIANCE CALLS OFF WEDDING, KEEPS $750,000 ENGAGEMENT RING; HE SUES HER FOR IT

Posted by Carrie Denny on 5/8/2013 at 3:38PM | No Comments

You know, it’s probably not a good sign if the groom hypothetically throws out there, “So hey, like, if we didn’t actually end up getting married, you’d give me back the ring, right?” Like, that’s not something that I feel should probably come up during a strong and happy engagement. The bride gave him a sure, but whether it was to punish him for simply asking that question or not, that’s not what ended up happening in this messy little situation.

NFL star Mario Williams is suing his ex-fiance because, contrary to her (I’m guessing) shrugged-shouldered response to his hypothetically staged question, she both called off the wedding—and made off with the engagement ring. The engagement ring that cost him $750,000.

No matter what she supposedly “agreed” to, I generally think that whoever calls off the wedding needs to give the other person the ring. Unless it’s a peacefully reached, truly mutual decision—then the couple can amicably reach that decision together. Watch the video below for the deets on this mess.

BRIDE-TO-BE BLOGGER STEPHANIE: CHOOSING OUR WEDDING BANDS! (KINDA)

Bride-to-be Blogger Stephanie: Choosing Our Wedding Bands! (Kinda)

Creatas

In an effort to cross one more item off the planning list, Pat and I visited a local Jenkintown jeweler last week to choose our wedding bands.

Fred H. Straub Jewelers is where Pat bought my engagement ring. And since I’m completely in love with it and still find myself staring at it—admiring it shimmering in the light—a year after getting engaged, we made our way back to Straub.

When we entered, we were ushered over to the right, where all the strikingly beautiful engagement and wedding rings are kept. I spotted my ring beneath the glass, along with its matching band.

BRIDE-TO-BE BLOGGER KRISTY: WE CHOSE OUR WEDDING RINGS!

Bride-to-be Blogger Kristy: We Chose Our Wedding Rings!

Kristy and Eric's rings!

I had my mind made up before we even started looking at wedding bands: a plain white gold band would accompany my engagement ring.

I’m a pretty simple lady; I love nice things, but am pretty mild when it comes to the bling factor. After Eric proposed to me and I had a chance to catch my breath and analyze the ring, I thought, “Man, that’s a lot of bling!” So, I was dead set on pairing it with a ring ranging very low on the bling scale … But, well, sometimes sparkly things can entice even the strongest of ladies.
