Starting on Aug. 20, Philly will be up to its ears in women – softball-playing women – who are in town for the ASANA Softball World Series. There are lots of ways to meet these ladies during eight days of special events.

Here’s the schedule:
Saturday, August 20
Tabu – the gayest sports bar in town – hosts a party welcoming the women starting at 7 p.m.

Sunday, August 21

Folks will be checking into the Doubletree Hotel starting at noon. And then Ladies 2000 hosts the kick off at ICandy (4 – 9 p.m.) with special drink discounts.

Monday, August 22

The players start smacking around balls at Metropolitan Fields in West Deptford, N.J. at 10 a.m. Join the players during a special happy hour  at Knock (4 -8 p.m.), followed by a party at Perch Pub where you can grab great pub grub until midnight.

Tuesday August 23

Golf, anyone? Join the players during a golf outing at the Walnut Lane Golf Club (7 a.m.) before they take to Metropolitan Fields for some games. There’s also an opening party and registration at the Doubletree Hotel Pool Deck (5-9 p.m.) and an official after party at Sisters (9 p.m.).

The ladies play some double elimination games, inching closer to the champions. Then the Phillies hosts its annual “Gay Day” with a huge LGBT tailgate party at Citizens Bank Park (4 p.m.). Even if you don’t have tickets to the game, you don’t want to miss the party in the F Lot. You can also watch the game at Tabu during a special party (7 p.m.) followed by Stimulus at Marathon Grill (10 p.m.).

Saturday, August 27
