When Amy Bohigian and Jane Byers adopted 15-month-old biracial twins, everything changed. Conceiving Family follows the couple and their children – Franny and Theo – as they start their new lives together, confronting fundamentalists in their community, and transitioning into a real family. The documentary uses personal interviews and intimate footage to tell the story. The film was directed by Bohigian.
