PLAYDAR: 7 Reasons Cher Doesn’t Need a Stinking Lady Gaga Duet

This week Cher announced that Lady Gaga wants to can their long-awaited duet. Gaga's loss.

Gay hearts across the world were broken this week when Cher, the world’s most comeback-iest comeback queen, revealed that her long-awaited duet with Lady Gaga had been canned. The song in question is called “The Greatest Thing” and, apparently according to Gaga, it just isn’t. From Cher’s Twitter account: “It’s done & she [Gaga] doesn’t like it, or want it to come out. She’s an artist, it’s up to her. I’m disappointed 2 (sic).”

What is Gaga thinking? I mean, I get not liking a song and being an arrrrtist and blah, blah, blah, but how could you pass up the opportunity to work with Cher? Better yet, how could you do this to your gays?!

Today, we’re just going to wallow in pity with a roundup of Cher tunes curated by our very own resident DJ Patrick DeMarco — seven perfect reasons Cher is badass enough on her own. (And seven reminders that Gaga made a big ol’ mistake.)

1. “If I Could Turn Back Time”

2. “Just Like Jesse James”

3. “Believe”

4. “A Different Kind Of Love Song (Lenny B.’s Different Kind Of Club Mix)”

5. “Strong Enough”

6. “You Haven’t Seen The Last Of Me (Dave Aude Club Mix)”

7. “Woman’s World (Danny Verde Club Mix)”
