WE’RE GETTING OLD ALERT: Beyonce’s ‘Dangerously In Love’ Album Turns 10

Time flies when you're fierce, I guess.

If there is one song from summers past that will be forever embedded in our gay minds, it is Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s “Crazy In Love.” Producer Rich Harrison gaves us the delicious ’60s Chi-Lite-sampled beat that got the world dancing and jumpstarted those rumors that Queen Bey and Jigga may actually be crazy in love. The track was a monster sensation that launched her solo debut, Dangerously In Love, which, are you ready for this, turned 10 years old this weekend. Time flies when you’re fierce, I guess.

Released June 24, 2003, Dangerously In Love, was a smash right out of the gate. It sold over 300, 000 copies in its first week and would go on to finish with just under 5 million sold. There were five singles and videos released from the album, each becoming its own independent smash. The first two, lead single “Crazy In Love” and dancehall-licous “Baby Boy,” stormed straight to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The two that followed, ballad “Me, Myself and I” and nod to Donna Summer, “Naughty Girl,” became top five smashes, with sexy videos to match. The album went on to score five Grammy awards the following year, insuring the masses that we’d be hearing a lot more out of Beyoncé for years to come.

To celebrate the diva’s landmark anniversary, I’ve rounded up a few of the album’s hottest tracks. Enjoy!

1. “Crazy in Love”

2. “Baby Boy” Feat. Sean Paul

3. “Me Myself and I”
