Philly Man to Star in Next Cycle of Top Model, Starting Tonight

Local actor/singer Cory Wade Hindorff will make his reality-show debut when America's Next Top Model airs tonight at 8 p.m.

I reported about this way back in February, but the day has finally arrived: Philly actor/singer/occasional drag performer Cory Wade Hindorff will make his reality-show debut when Cycle 20 of America’s Next Top Model kicks off tonight on the CW.

Wait. Did I just type Cycle 20? Wow!

Hindorff has been back in Philly for several months, but, of course, he’s being super secretive about what’s in store. All we know is that this is the first season where male models will be competing alongside the ladies. And he gets to wear sexy fish net tank tops like the one you see to the right. And be in the presence of Tyra.

To keep track of how he’s doing on the show, Alexander Kacala, who you may remember fabulously recapped the last season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, will post a rundown of the latest ANTM episode every Saturday morning/early afternoon. We’re calling the column “Smize Queen.”

Also, stay tuned to the winter issue of G Philly, where I will interview Hindorff about how a small-town boy from Wallingford, Pa. found his way to the Top Model catwalk.

So mark your calendars, set your DVRs and get ready to root for our hometown super model. Tonight’s two-hour premiere episode starts at 8 p.m. on the CW.
