Alycia Lane’s Mugshot May Be Even More Difficult to Obtain Than Her Bikini Photos
That’s according to Smoking Gun editor Andrew Goldberg, who says the NYPD typically doesn’t release mugshots of individuals unless they’re on the lam or wanted for a heinous crime.
Right now, there isn’t enough space in the internet universe to keep up with all the reactions to Alycia Lane’s impassioned freak-out against some plainclothes police officers in Chelsea early Sunday morning.
The report we received from the Manhattan D.A.’s office has lovely Alycia charged with second-degree assault. The direct quote issued in all caps from the report says that, yes, CBS 3’s news-reading princess did in fact say to a police officer that tried to prevent her from sticking a camera in their face, “I DON’T GIVE A FUCK WHO YOU ARE I AM A REPORTER YOU FUCKING DYKE.”
In the report the “deponent” (fancy word for police officer) states that he observed Lane strike one of the other officers about the face when she (let’s assume a “she”, given the dyke comment and all) tried to move Lane’s camera away from the other officer’s face. The “strike” caused the female officer to sustain two lacerations and swelling.
CBS 3 hasn’t released any kind of official statement about Lane’s continued employment, but over on lauranachman.net, Daily Examiner media columnist Laura Nachman reports that no one at the station’s “family oriented” holiday party yesterday afternoon had heard about the incident.
The photo above is of Alycia in happier, simpler, cuddlier times. We’re pleased to share that she did not attack that Yorkie after the photo shoot, even though it did take an impossibly long time to be camera-ready.

I was friendly with Alycia back in college. Back then, her looks got in the way also. Girls didn’t want to be friends with her because 18 year old girls are insecure enough without THAT comparison. To her frustration, only the psychopath guys would ask her out. She wore sweats that were 5 sizes too big, no makeup and her hair in a ponytail, and STILL she was gorgeous. She really, truly, honestly, was a nice person as well. Not stuck up at all, even though she was told she was beautiful by everyone she met.
The very very very unofficial story I heard through the grapevine from folks who supposedly are still in touch with her goes like this:
If you know Manhattan, the area they were driving through is just okay. The streets are dark and deserted (by city standards). They found themselves stuck behind another car that was going super slow and stopping. They couldn’t go around and another car was blocking, so their cab couldn’t reverse. After a while, it started getting creepy and they started thinking out loud if they were about to be mugged. (According to news reports, they were right, something was up, they drove right into the middle of an undercover sting). The guy they were with (not Booker), got out of the car to see what was up. All Alycia saw were three menacing thugs get out of the car and she thought for sure they were about to be attacked and mugged. She got out her iPhone – not as a reporter, but as a defensive measure, hoping it would stop whatever was about to happen. The female in the group grabbed Alycia violently, swinging the iPhone toward one of the male’s faces. He, in turn, really shoved her, and the iphone popped the female in the face. She really doesn’t remember saying what she’s accused of saying. But she knows she said she was a reporter when they told her to put the camera away, hoping the thought of their faces on the 6 ‘clock news would stop what they were planning.
Alycia really thought she was fighting off an attack. The officers really didn’t properly identify themselves – probably because they didn’t want to blow their cover in the middle of a sting.
Now, Alycia is facing 7 years in jail for doing what seemed to be fighting off a mugger.
She called Rendell because she knows him and she was looking for advice on what to do. She thought he might know off the top of his head, a legal precedent related to undercover cops. There’s nothing sordid about the call.
Her looks right now are really getting in the way. It got her to where she’s at, but it’s always been a problem in her personal life.
I haven’t talked with Alycia in many years, but people don’t change that much. She’s not crazy, and she’s not mean. But she did find herself in the wrong place at the wrong time last weekend.

I meet Alycia that Friday before the incident occured and she was the nice,down to earth and was willing to take pctures with me and my friends. I can’t see her reacting that way and if she did she was probably provoked. They need to investigate before they jump to conclusion.

Let’s look at one facts, as much as we know them.
1# An officer was struck in the face by Alycia Lane.
2# Alycia was out of the car when she shouldn’t have.
3# She allegedly identified herself as a reporter when she wasn’t working as a reporter during this incident.
4# Her comment can be disputed but, doesn’t seem an officer would make it up.
5# Someone from Rendell’s office leaked her plea to the Gov.
Resolution:
The assault charge will be reduced to disorderly conduct with Alycia profusely eating crow, apologizing and possibly doling out some bucks to appease the assaulted officer. Girls as good-looking as that never suffer.

ALSO Mary Cavallero Former Aftra Lawyer was planning to sue CBS and Peter Dunn several years ago. Cavallero wanted to bring a class action suit against CBS and DUNN and Nanacy Amoroso (the station Consultant that ALL on air talkent at Channel 3 called Station INSULTANT ) because Amoroso wanted all female on air talent to look like “whores” and like “they’re fucking someone.”
Reporters like Karen Scullin (now in Minnesota) and Anne MArie Green and others complained that Amoroso was harrassing female talent in ways that the male talent were not subjected to. JUst Ask good OLE DICK STANDISH. Standish will tell you how horrible Schiller (News Director ) and Dunn were in subjecting women to intimidating standards at KYW. Ask Bev Williams too. She Constantly was approached by on air talent by what to do if on air female talent should contact Dennis Swanson (then stations manager) about what to do about the harrassment at Channel 3
