The REAL Wonder Woman on Sarah Palin: “America Should Be Very Afraid”
In an interview this morning about her three-week run at an Atlantic City casino, I offhandedly asked “Wonder Woman” Lynda Carter how she felt about the media calling VP candidate Sarah Palin the “new Wonder Woman.” I wasn’t expecting her no-holds-barred response:
Don’t get me started. She’s the anti-Wonder Woman. She’s judgmental and dictatorial, telling people how they’ve got to live their lives. And a superior religious self-righteousness … that’s just not what Wonder Woman is about. Hillary Clinton is a lot more like Wonder Woman than Mrs. Palin. She did it all, didn’t she?
No one has the right to dictate, particularly in this country, to force your own personal views upon the populace — religious views. I think that is suppressive, oppressive, and anti-American. We are the loyal opposition. That’s the whole point of this country: freedom of speech, personal rights, personal freedom. Nor would Wonder Woman be the person to tell people how to live their lives. Worry about your own life! Worry about your own family! Don’t be telling me what I want to do with mine.
I like John McCain. But this woman — it’s anathema to me what she stands for. I think America should be very afraid. Very afraid. Separation of church and state is the one thing the creators of the Constitution did agree on — that it wasn’t to be a religious government. People should feel free to speak their minds about religion but not dictate it or put it into law.
What I don’t understand, honestly, is how anyone can even begin to say they know the mind of God. Who do they think they are? I think that’s ridiculous. I know what God is in my life. Now I am sure that she’s not all just that. But it’s enough to me. It’s enough for me to have a visceral reaction. And it makes me mad.
People need to speak up. Doesn’t mean that I’m godless. Doesn’t mean that I am a murderer. What I hate is this demonization of everybody but one position. You’re un-American because you’re against the war. It’s such bullshit. Fear. It’s really such a finite way of thinking about God to think that your measley little mind can know the mind of God. It’s a very little God that way. I think that God’s bigger. I don’t presume to know his mind. Or her mind.

Palin Is An Unknown
Unless she opens up to the press and public I do not see how we can consider someone that we know less about then the bag boy at our local grocery store? This is a situation that could place her in the position as commander in chief of the United States Of America. During the primaries the media kept asking if America was ready for a woman president. Well after raking Hillary over the coals for months and months the answer was by the millions yes. Like all the candidates she ran the gauntlet, faced the public and the press and by the end of the primaries we knew most everything about all of them.
We know very little about Sarah Palin.
How can this even be considered!
Charley Gibson has been Granted an interview with strict guidelines… A Barbra Walters like interview. It has been said that he must first submit his questions to the McCain / Palin camp before he asks them.

As an American citizen, Lynda Carter has the right to free speech. She speaks for me in this case. I’m very glad she used her celebrity to put this out. I have no celebrity, so I can say these things until I’m blue in the face an no one will hear me.

Palin is more like GW Bush than McCain so clearly appears to be. Voting lock step with the Bush administration 90% of the time IS NOT CHANGE! It’s more of the same. I’ll bet the “real” Wonder woman never saved a Baby. Did allow herself to be photographed/filmed topless. Didn’t return thousands of dollars to alaskans in oil royalties. Did fail in at least one marriage. Did not support a loved one who decided to keep her child; Did not ever give any of her time to help with special needs children; Did support a philandering president who abused scores of women. A lot of people want to stifle dissent when someone says what they don’t want to hear. No wonder Republicans keep doing so well. Apparently too many Americans are taking their freedoms for granted and want a change from having the right to free speech. Put McCain/Failin in the White House and you’ll be quite a bit closer to reaching that goal.
It’s scary that Republicans can dangle a shiny toy in front of America every election season and so many people STILL fall for it after jobs have gone offshore and mortgages are being foreclosed at higher rates than ever. Vote Republican and keep kissing your jobs and mortgages goodbye.

The Medai used to be concerned with reporting truth not their political biases.
You having heard of none of them illustrates my point that the MSM are not giving Obama the same anal exam they are giving Palin.
Start with Google or another search engine. Most of the things I have mentioned are well known and are available on news sites which are more concerned with the truth than assailing a woman because she presents a threat to Obama.
I don’t think Obama would beat up a woman. But I don’t think he is comfortable with strong women.

Hearing what you want to hear, reading what you want to read, and not looking at both sides of the coin - way to go people! Learn how to learn, and stop listening to sound bytes on Fox News, CNN and MSNBC. Sound bytes mean nothing except whatever mood the producer wanted to create at that time. To those who are blasting Lynda Carter: have you checked into Palin’s philosophy on separation of church and state? I’ve seen videos of speeches in which Palin strongly suggested the war in Iraq is a holy war, and Palin told the audience that a pipeline project was God’s plan and asked them to pray for it. A politician who presents specific ideas or plans as God’s will or God’s plan is going to be extremely divisive and dangerous to America. If McCain should win, I pray he stays healthy.

Religious freedom is think of G-d how you want, pray how you want and choose to speak about it being mindful that everyone has a right to their opinions on that matter. NO ONE is wrong. This Palin woman could very likely turn out to be our 45th President. It is in everyone’s best interest that she is examined closely and that she sit down with the press and answer questions about her policy stances and general outlook on the country and the issues facing all Americans.
The idea that a candidate for the office that is a heartbeat away from the highest office in the land is some sacred cow who is above criticism and beyond reproach is not only bizarre and unprecedented in American politics, it’s down right dangerous.

Lynda Carter is more educated on the political state of this country than 90% of the people posting here. Her statements were fact-based, reacting only to what Palin herself has put out for the public to see.
This country (and much of this reply list) is full of scared, jealous, complacent little lambs who would rather hide behind antiquated racist, sexist, fear-mongering theology than think for themselves.
So sad that we share the same country. So sad that some people want to return to the dark ages. Thank goodness leadership will finally return to the hands of the party willing to move this country ahead, though.

And her points about knowing the mind of God is something that my 90 year old very Catholic grandmother — who refers to herself as the Loyal Opposition in regards to her a lot of her views vs The Church as a Whole has always said. Anyone who presumes to know better about God and wants to force that opinion on everyone always did get her hackles raised. And it’s awesome to see Lynda agrees.

It’s always nice when someone speaks truth to power- especially when that someone is Wonder Woman! You’d have to be raving mad to support his radical extremist for VP. It’s a shame that a moderate like John MCcain has sio capitulated to the nutty fringe of his party. I just wonder what’s to become of the Republican Party? It seems to be increasingly taken over by the lunatic right-wing, to an extent that can only bode ill for the party and for America. It’s heartbreaking that someone who stands up for separation of church and state gets called a “bigot” by people who clearly have no love for America or her ideals. I think the salient point that everyone is missing is whether or not Gov. Sarah Palin should be compared to Wonder Woman. I’ll be brief, because I know most of you won’t care, but as a fan and artist I’ve followed the fictitious adventures of Wonder Woman for over 30 years and have read back issues and reprints of the comics that date back to Wonder Woman’s creation in the 1940’s by William Moulton Marsten, who also created the systolic blood pressure test–one of the inventions that directly led to the invention of the polygraph. Marsten was a noted feminist and lived in a polyamorous relationship with two women, both of whom he modeled Wonder Woman’s ideology and appearance after. In the comics and in the shows Wonder Woman’s philosophy is far too liberal for there to be any justification for a comparison between Wonder Woman and Gov. Sarah Palin. In point of fact Wonder Woman is a pro-choice, pro-gay marriage, environmentally conscious, pagan who believes we have a sacred duty to protect and nurture all living creatures, while striving constantly to find non-violent solutions to our problems. I think if Wonder Woman were real both Gov. Sarah Palin and Wonder Woman herself would be insulted by the comparison. More to the point Lynda Carter, even thirty years later still has a very firm grasp on her character.

Lynda Carter is not using her celebrity for a cause. Lynda was touting her 3-week show and was asked. I never realized how smart, well spoken, and thoughtful she is and I applaud her for stating her opinions when she was asked for them. I agree with her as well. Bitter? Doesn’t sound like it — she is not a young person and is doing a nightclub act and has a solid marriage and children and much to be proud of in her life, including knowledge of what’s actually in the constitution. To be fully informed about the Reagan’s view on this matter, type The Reagans and Carol McCain into your browser. (Nancy Reagan endorsed McCain, but she is not happy about it, but McCain is the candidate of the party. That is her and Ronnie’s policy).

Truth is, McCain is reportedly a lounge lizard with the ladies. Always has been. He even admits it himself in his book. I will not stand behind any public servant of mine that behaves like this, Republican or Democrat.
As for that Governor’s jet - I still say she should have donated it to an organization that could really use it. She put it on eBay, (Lookie what I can do!), but it did not sell. It was sold, at a loss, through a dealer.
As for, “I told them thanks, but no thanks”, well it appears that is a falsehood. Congress shot that bridge down one year before Palin was sworn in as Governor. Anchorage newspapers say, “She stretches the truth”.
When Charles Gibson asked her the pointed questions last night, one of her answers was, “You can see Russia from Alaska”. ?????
If McCain was 50 years old, I would say that Palin can do some on the job training. There is time. If she were to have to assume office now, we would be in serious trouble.
I was insulted when McCain chose Palin. Palin should have been insulted as well. I would like to get promotions and opportunities according to my abilities, not the fact that I am a woman.
I am not afraid of my gun ownership being affected by an Obama win. I am in a very rural area, and they would need to find me first before they could remove my firearms.

I’m religious, and also a conservative who thinks that Lynda Carter is exactly correct. Government has no place getting involved in religion.
I don’t trust McCain. I don’t trust his judgment in picking this woman Palin. There were plenty of other qualified women to choose from. Condi Rice would have been an interesting choice, or Kay Bailey Hutchinson.
I haven’t decided yet between Barr or writing in Ron Paul; but both of them understand the importance of keeping religion out of government. I won’t be voting for McCain. This choice of a running mate he made makes a mockery of the office.

Have you been listening to the news? It is being reported by almost every newspaper that McCain is lying in his TV ads about Obama. I believe, the media, whom McCain calls his base, is being made to look stupid because they are not covering McCain/Palin truthfully. Although there are tons of footage of McCain lying and a written record of Governor Palin, they continue to lie, and the media has been afraid to say anything. Not anymore.
I heard Richard Wolfe say yesterday, the media was complicit is getting us into the Iraq war because, they were afraid to challenge the Bush administration. So, those of you that have been following the story of the media being bias toward McCain/Palin, let me respectfully ask that you do your own home work. You may be surprise at what you find.
Anyway, even Governor Palin said you shouldn’t complain about sexism, it’s not good for women’s issues. If we want to play with the big boys, we cannot act like little girls. It does not help our cause.

Women we have to stop being so emotional and think. We can’t vote for her on personally because this is not American Idol. This is our country. I would love to see a women as vice president/president but Govenor Plain is not the one.

Visceral reaction is right Carter. Unfortunately, it is also uninformed.
Palin has very strong beliefs on religion, abortion and a variety of other social issues. And yet, in the most independent-minded state in the union, she maintains a very high approval rating. Why do you think that is. Fortunately, it isn’t hard to find out.
Palin does not try to inflict her views upon those she governs. She has consistently focused on the issues that are most important to all Alaskans, while showing no patience or tolerance for partisan bickering. She has not embraced the red meat issues for Republicans in Alaska. She has, in fact, spent more time deconstructing the harmful network of quid-pro-quo backscratching that her party has carefully built over the last fifty years. If you don’t believe me, read what the Democrats in Alaska have to say about her.
There are things in America that matter to almost all of us, like jobs to put food on our tables and all of the good things that a healthy economy provide. Energy is vital, as is education and healthcare and a government that does what it needs to do and lets us take care of the business that properly belongs to us. That is what Palin say she will do. It is what she has done in Alaska. She has a record of doing what she says. On those few occasions where she has changed her mind, it has consistently been to the betterment of those she serves. She is not perfect, but she strives to do the right thing.
Carter’s rant is the rote memorization of a laundry list of misrepresentations that are promoted to fool the easily fooled. If you just want to hate Palin, go ahead. Just don’t beclown yourself by proving to the rest of the world that you’re too intellectually lazy to dig past the surface of whatever partisan news source you choose to think for you.

Another unedumacated Hollywood has been. The Separation of Church and State does not exist in the Consitution. The First Amendment protects the freedom of religion and stops the FEDERAL government from establishing a religion. Period. End of Discussion. The misued phrase “Separation of Church and State” was used in a letter written by Thomas Jefferson while he was President - 1802. Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence in 1776. The Constitution was written and drafted in 1787 - 11 years after Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence. Jefferson was not at the Constitutional Congress and HAD NOTHING to do with writing the Consitution. He was the American Ambassador to France and was in France at the time of the writing and drafting of the Constitution. Again, I repeat. Thomas Jefferson did not write any part of the Constitution and the misused phrase “Separation of Church and State” was in a letter he wrote 15 years after the drafting of the Constitution. Please Wonderdumb WOmen - like the rest of the NOW group - National Organization of Whiners - get it right. YOu sound stupid.

I’ve been following Palin’s career for a while now. She has gone out of her way to not inject her personal social views in her politics (UNLIKE MIZZZZ CLINTON). Instead, Palin has focused on cutting out the fat in govt and getting the gears in motion for America’s energy independence. Who the hell can argue with that?

First off, I want to say I’m an Obama/Biden supporter. But I’m really disgusted by the way the media is trying to vilify Sarah Palin as a religious extremist. Senator Obama wants to bring us all together, both liberal and conservative, religious and secular. And the first way to do that is to really understand where people are coming from. I don’t agree with Sarah Palin on any issues but if people would do their research they’d realize she NEVER said she knows God’s will. Anyone that has actually watched Palin’s prayer should be able to understand that she was praying that we ARE doing God’s will by going into Iraq. I also don’t necessarily think she’s a DANGEROUS woman. I see no evidence that she’s actually imposed her personal beliefs about creationism, abortion, or faith in general on the people of Alaska. The Democrats need to become more comfortable with people of faith and not automatically label them as extremist nutjobs. One of the things that drew me to Senator Obama was HIS faith.

Compare and contrast:
Sarah Palin stood up to corruption in her own party. Lynda Carter stood silent for years while her husband was involved with the infamous BCCI Bank and was business partners with the ultra-corrupt Clark Clifford.
Both started out using their looks. Lynda never did anything else, Sarah moved on.

Lie. Out and out lie. Palin never pretended to know the mind of God. You are making things out of an irrational fear of this woman. Read her actual real words, not the fear mongering lies placed into your head.
Gibson omitted the words “pray for” in a lame attempt to change what she said to indicate that she believed she knew the mind of God and Carter and others fell for it.
Palin’s words - exact words: “Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending them out on a task that is from God. That’s what we have to make sure that we’re praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God’s plan.”
Palin is praying/hoping that what we are doing is in accordance with God’s plan. She is not saying she knows God’s plan, God’s mind or anything of the sort.
Lincoln expressed the same concerns. He was responding to a clergyman who was conceitedly trying to say that God was on our side:
“‘I am not at all concerned about that,’ replied Mr. Lincoln, ‘for I know that the Lord is always on the side of the right. But it is my constant anxiety and prayer that I and this nation should be on the Lord’s side.’”
Again, Palin’s words: “That’s what we have to make sure that we’re praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God’s plan.”

The phrase at the end “and we have got to count on our allies to help us, diplomatic pressure” were deleted so that the US continues to look like a rogue country acting on its own. Disgraceful.

Lynda, regardless of her B status, is clueless. She has been spending too much time on the Daily Kos. If you look at Palin’s record, she has governed as a libertarian apart from her personal religious views, not pursuing a social conservative agenda in office. She has been too busy doing things like cleaning up corruption and taking on big oil.
So if we cannot even elect a person anymore if they are religious, what is our democracy coming to? What if Palin were Jewish or some other religion? Would that automatically disqualify her? Anti-Christian bigotry is alive and well.

In regards to Ms. Carter’s comments, I care about them as much as I care about getting her canceled “Wonder Woman” series on DVD. If I ever found them in a free bin, I might pick them up and give them a look. I feel that way about her comments.
Ms. Carter needs to go back to making guest appearances and movies of the week and leave the politics to those that read up on it. Most of Hollywood would fall under this.

It is amazing that there are so many women who say they are feminists, and are stuck in a past generation. It is time for these old feminists to get connected with the real world and move into this century. Yes, we have come along way, but there are some feminists that are slowing down the progress.
Womens rights are not only about the right to abortions. I am pro-choice, but I am not pro-abortion. I think that women should have the right to choose, but it should be a responsible choice and not a form of birth control. Womens rights should be equal among all women, no matter their beliefs.
I also am finding that some women are using the right to choose as a means of demeaning others for their right to religious beliefs. Yes, some women choose their beliefs because of religion. When did that become a crime? Are they any less a woman?
What I have been seeing, is that sexism is running rampant within the same feminist groups that are against it. Apparently they only show outrage when the woman agrees with them. All other women be damned! They do not believe that a woman has a right to their freedom of choice, unless this choice mirrors theirs. It is time that a new feminist movement takes the lead and show the old fake feminists what the meaning of equal rights for all women really stands for.
Lynda Carter has a right to her beliefs, but they are seriously outdated. As long as women like this continue to keep their high heels on the necks of women that do not share all their beliefs, then women will continue to be cast aside.
Modern women, stand up for all your sisters! Show the world that we will not show favoritism and hatred amongst our own gender! Stop the demeaning of women by other women!

The idea of separation of church and state is not mentioned in the Constitution. It comes from a letter by Thomas Jefferson. Our charter document simply says you can’t establish a state religion. The only accurate “religious” criticism of her views as been her pro-life convictions. Find me a major religion where killing the unborn is applauded. Even if you’re a howling atheist, but know something about human biology, you should be trying to end the barbaric practice of abortion. It’s not a matter of imposing your religious views on others, it’s about creating a society where the most defenseless among us can be safe. Lynda, you say Palin isn’t ready to be vice president? Yeah, there was the story on Obama’s website about Palin supposedly trying to censor books at the library but since many of the books on the list that accompanied the story wouldn’t be published until several years later that was clearly a politically motivated libel.

I have enjoyed reading all the comments; you have all interjected meaningful and some meaningless “freedom of speech”. This is all about opinions, so here is mine:
Lynda Carter was very cool when I was a kid . She was awesome on tv, there are many actresses and actors out there who were, and she shouldn’t be bashed for her opinion. Although who really cares if she compares to Sarah Palin?? (tv superhero/heroine should never be brought to such a lowly level) and frankly I don’t believe that is really what all of your comments are about on here.
I believe that Palin is no choice for Vice President and certainly I agree (with Lynda and others) saying that we should be very scared of her in the Whitehouse -she has a self-righteous attitude- (kind of like Hitler) that she thinks the rest of Americans should follow. She is dictator-like. She is completely for NRA-which isn’t a bad thing-but advocating shooting wolves from helicopters (massacring them with semi automatic weapons)?? so that she and her “Alaskan hunter friends” can have more caribou to hunt/shoot with semi-automatic weapons? Somehow that seems very unsportsmanlike to me… Do we really want a gun-toting, wolf-killing, no womens rights, lying, skimming off the top, book banning, religious fear- mongering woman like this in the Whitehouse? If she has PMS, what if someone disagrees with her -maybe she would take her semi-automatic and shoot him/her! Granted that is pretty extreme but no more extreme than her belief on living back in the stone ages…
I believe in freedom of speech but to cross the lines and put religion and Pro life onto the political table is definitely not right. Every woman should have the right to choose, but if you choose pro life and believe that abstinence or “just saying NO” is the only method of birth control out there (Palin 1 month pregnant before her marriage, oh and her 17 year old daughter… guess she didn’t say NO either!-which makes her a hypocrite in my book) I don’t think abortion rights should be on the political ballot; however, I personally do not want to go back to the earlier decades when abortion was performed in back alleyways. We all live in the 21st century, we have a lot of conveniences, and benefit from a great deal of technological advances. Unemployment is at a ridiculous alltime high and we have seen a great many of our American jobs going overseas! We have a government that is out of control! We are fighting a war in a country that many of us do not believe we should be in! We have a world that is literally being destroyed by us! ( The evidence is highly conclusive that people and our abuse of our natural resources have been the catalyst to the global warming issue-thank you very much Mrs. Palin!) We should all be smarter than this! Don’t we have enough problems here without bringing religion and abortion into it? I believe that birth control is very important, and teaching kids about sex is important, and women should always have the right to choose-and not just in the case of rape or incest.
As a mom of a young USAF soldier stationed in Afghanistan, a wife of an enlisted USAF soldier for 20 years, living on very little money at times, I can tell you I am absolutley for supporting the military. I am also for making this world better than it is now-educationally speaking America is behind and below the learning curve, we definitely need improvements in that area! A good education and knowledge are important all over the globe. I am for global markets and trade but I am defintely for keeping our jobs here in the US! I want people who come here to live (foreigners) to speak our language! This is our country! I am for better pay, benefits, for our Vets, I am for healthcare, and presrciption drugs that are affordable for everyone. I am for government that actually helps it people ( I don’t care for the remark from McCain /Palin about “not standing in the people’s way, but being on our side”-to me that sounds like they really are not going to do anything to improve the situation, but cheer on the sidelines). Both Obama/Biden and McCain/Palin may plan to remove US troops from Iraq by a certain timetable - only to put them into other countries like Afghanistan and Iran…(and by the way just what is Mrs. Palin’s take on foreign policy? She doesn’t answer the question! She knows nothing!-maybe we will hear from her on this when the VP debate airs on the 2nd of October) I don’t want to see my son get killed because she winds up in the Whitehouse as our commander -in- chief, with no knowledge of foreign powers!
Don’t be fooled; Either party, when elected, will more than likely shake up the US congress/Washington DC; However, either party is going to need billions and billions of dollars to fight the war, to build nuclear powerplants, create jobs for Americans, find alternative energy methods to power our homes, and cars, and sadly our taxes will not be reduced. Nor will our global economy be automatically revamped. Our global warming problems will not be solved overnight…it is going to take a lot more time (more than 8-10 years),and by then the Polar bears who live off Alaska’s coast will be extinct-and does Mrs. Palin care?-probably not. It is also going to take a great deal of patience and effort from every American to straighten out this situation that we put ourselves in over four years ago. This scenario is going to take an educated, knowledgable, strong, but calm person to be our next President -who can and will be diplomatic when it calls for it and not a gun-toting Hitler-like hypocrite) to help get the job done.

Does this seem strange to any of you? You mention McCain could expire due to his skin cancer problems but remember this: Biden had a brain aneurism. According to B.O. he picked Biden to advise him on his weaknesses. Wake up people, this is not a dress rehersal. B.O. said in an add that McCain voted with Bush 92 percent of the time. This is false. Bush has no vote in the senate. By the time the vote moves out of the senate it is unanimous. So B.O’s vote leaves the same as McCain’s. The difference is 113 times B.O. voted PRESENT while McCain actually voted yes or no. Please seek the facts.

Why is it that every time someone disagrees, even slightly, with a conservative they’re labeled a liberal whacko? When did liberal become a bad word? She said in the piece she liked John McCain and disagrees with the ideas that Palin has put out so far. But it seems the conservative response is to write that opinion off right away. Oh she’s just the typical liberal celebrity. Even if she is, what makes her opinion less valid than a stereotypical rich conservative businessman? Or a woman? Or a poor one? Or some other person on the street? Just as she pointed out, what’s disturbing and anti-American is the insane level of intolerance produced from the extreme right. At the very least, it seems the most intolerant are the most vocal. It seems always to be this idea that if your views don’t match mine then you’re wrong, anti-American and godless. And Palin thinks we should teach abstinence but cannot sell it to her own daughter yet she thinks she can sell it to America. She opposes sex ed in school but wants to teach creationism in those same schools. SHAME on MC CAIN and PALIN for focusing the election on lies and distortions instead of the real issues - the economy, women’s rights, health insurance for all americans, homeland security, the growing deficit, etc., etc.
All we hear from Mc Cain and Palin are snide comments - Maybe that is because they would find it too difficult to defend their positions??? Mc Cain talks about tax cuts for middle America but does not say he will make sure the tax breaks for the super wealthy are eliminated. So how will he pay for these tax cuts for middle America while still assuring the super rich that their tax loopholes will continue. NO WAY - he will have to cut something - maybe Medicare, Medicaid or Social Security? At least Obama proposes tax breaks to 95% of Americans and removal of the tax breaks for the super rich. He is not proposing reductions in Medicare, Medicaid and/or Social Security. Obama/Biden have a fundamentally sound plan. Mc Cain/Palin also have a plan but theirs is not in the best interest of America - it is in the best interest of the SUPER RICH! Let’s make sure OBAMA/BIDEN win this election and give the Democrats a chance to make positive changes for the majority of Americans. Vote OBAMA/BIDEN to make America strong again in our own eyes and in the eyes of the world!!!!!

Regardless of what you may think of Ms. Carter or her comments, Sarah Palin’s recent interviews with Katie Couric say it all. Sarah’s responses were as mindless as those of Dubya’s when first running for the Presidency in 2002 (and since then). Let’s face it. Without a teleprompter the woman doesn’t sound all that bright. Allowing a certain amount of graciousness - and giving her (some) leeway for being new on the national scene - we still have to ask, “Haven’t we learned during the past 8 years that it DOES take intelligence to hold this office?”
Looking back on the appeal of Dubya in 2003, you’ve got to ask yourself if you really want your drinking buddy making decisions that will impact the life of you and your family. (I know I don’t.) In hindsight, this “just like us” choice for president was a real mistake. Let’s not duplicate it.
Also, isn’t it ironic that McCain’s own background qualifies him as an “elitist” (5 homes, etc. ) yet his campaign remains focused on painting Obama with that same moniker as if it were something negative.
