How often should I work out?
To help develop good habits for your health, you should work out five days a week. I’m a fan of working out a couple times a day for the metabolic benefits. The body is an adaptive machine that finds ways to complete a repeated task with less energy than it used before. In most cases, that’s a good thing—it means you’re getting stronger or lighter. But your body can adapt to sitting on your derriere, too, so you don’t want to give it the chance.
I’ve worked out for as long as I can remember, and I know a lot about the body. Why do I need a trainer?
It’s human nature to be tired at times, to not be as enthusiastic about your workout every time you show up at the gym. A trainer will keep you engaged and take your workout to the next level every time. Achieving a goal isn’t about whether or not you wanted to do it that day; it’s about whether or not you worked at it in the first place. The best way to get something done is to do it with enthusiasm. Not only does a trainer see the big picture when it comes to helping you reach your fitness goals, they also help you find the enthusiasm to work harder than you thought you could.
