This is the post all the Be Well Philly Office Challenge contestants have been dreading. Trust me—I know. I even heard some half-hearted complaints from my own Philly Mag colleagues who are participating in the contest. They didn’t want to know how much they actually weigh, they told me, and they certainly didn’t want the world to know.
Well, there’s good news: I’m not going to tell the Internet how much you weigh, not personally anyway. But I am going to tell it how much your team weighs now—in total—at the start of your eight-week health and weight-loss challenge.
You know why, but I’ll tell you anyway: It’s important for you to know where you stand. Right now. Right here. At the beginning. This is a starting place, and something to aspire never to be again. And by sharing your weight as a total for the team—instead of as pounds for individuals—I’m hoping it’ll encourage all of you to work together toward your goal. You want to see the numbers on the scale drop collectively. After all, it’s the only way you’ll win.
So here goes—the starting weights for the six official Be Well Philly Office Challenge teams. We’re not judging. We’re cheering you on. And I hope you’ll cheer each other on—and I mean big time—over the coming weeks and months.
Zarwin Baum: 1,949.4 pounds
Campus Apartments: 1,853 pounds
Advanced AV: 2,127.5 pounds
Razorfish Health: 1,566.1 pounds
Center City District: 2,023 pounds
Tague Lumber: 2,397.8 pounds
(Wondering where the WMMR and Philly Mag teams are? I’ll share their starting weights early next week!)
