Amuse Yourself at Le Meridien

A sneak peek of the menus at the new hotel's French restaurant

After months of delay, the Le Méridien hotel opens today at 1421 Arch Street in the Horace Trumbauer-designed Arch Street YMCA building. Like most upscale hotels these days, the four-star Starwood property also features a restaurant and lounge: Amuse, a brasserie serving classic French fare. Click through to see the breakfast, lunch, dinner and bar menus, plus photos of the restaurant, which also opens today at 1:30 p.m., immediately after a politico-packed ribbon cutting ceremony.

Amuse’s  executive chef is Dan Black, who comes to Philly via the Equinox Hotel in Manchester, Vermont. The dishes hew to the basic brasserie formula — omelettes, croque monsieurs, steak frites, beef Bourguignon — and dinner entrees run $17 to $24.

Amuse is open for breakfast daily from 6 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and for dinner from 4 p.m. to midnight. The bar is open from 11 a.m. to midnight.
