Phillies Food is Kid-Tested, PETA-Approved
Citizens Bank Park is once again the most veggie-friendly in the country
Phillies fans have more to celebrate than just Roy Halladay’s perfect game this past weekend. As reported on Grub Street, animal-rights organization PETA picked Phillies home turf Citizens Bank Park as the most vegetarian-friendly major league ballpark. In the off-season, the park added meatless options like faux chicken sandwiches, Southwestern black-bean burgers, mock crab cakes, and veggie dogs to its concession stands. Sure beats dirty water dogs and gloopy nachos—and Citi Field (home of the rival New York Mets), which didn’t make the list.
