Good news for the cold-blooded among us: Wearing socks to bed is suddenly sexy. At least, that’s the idea behind Nookies, The Original Pleasure Sox.™ This new line of foot lingerie arrived in our office last week, along with a press release citing a Dutch study that claims a women’s sexual pleasure can increase if she’s warm, heel-to-toe. The release also describes Nookies, The Original Pleasure Sox™ as “innocently suggestive, playfully seductive.”
Now, we’re no connoisseurs of coital sockage, but Nookies, The Original Pleasure Sox™ look like the workaday trouser/knee-high variety to us, avec cherries. (Have we been underestimating our basic foot coverings’ sexiness all these years?) On the other hand, Nookies, The Original Pleasure Sox™ do feel good—silky and soft, we suppose. But, are they sexy? Will they make sex more fun?
Sadly, there are some things even we won’t do for our jobs. Among them, wearing Nookies, The Original Pleasure Sox™ to bed and reporting back on how that worked out. Our philosophy: Anything people do in their socks is their own business. That’s why they’re called business socks.
Thanks — and apologies — to Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement.
