Dear Anti-Health Care Tea Baggers (And The Party Of No),
First of all, your name is all wrong, both from a sexual and a historical perspective. I’ll let your teenage children explain the sexual part. But I’ll give you the historical part. Unlike you, the real patriots who rebelled at the Boston Tea Party in 1773 were protesting a foreign monarchally designated head of state, not a domestic democratically elected representative. In addition, their focus was a rational tax issue, not an irrational “birther” issue. WTF?!
Second, the Founding Fathers’ first official document, namely the Declaration of Independence, made it crystal clear that health care is a fundamental right when they wrote “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men (and women and children) are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, (and) that among these are Life…” Obviously and logically, life means health, good health. Consistent with the founders, President Barack Obama pointed out “the core principle that everybody should have some basic security when it comes to their health…” That’s precisely why he took the lead during his historic presidency to fight for and win historic health care reform.
And he did it because, like passage of Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security laws, it was the right thing to do. From Teddy Roosevelt to Harry Truman to Lyndon Johnson to Richard Nixon (yes, Richard Nixon) to Bill Clinton, health care reform was actively pursued simply because it was the right thing to do. Opposing health care reform is like refusing to throw a life raft to a drowning person. WTF?!
Third, although a step in the right direction, this health care reform is by no means what it should have been in terms of completely meeting the widespread and dire needs of seriously ill Americans. In other words, it should have had a single payer system to kill the homicidal insurance industry or at the very least a public option to wound the injurious insurance industry. While the reforms are certainly not perfect, they do provide coverage to 32 million persons, expand Medicaid to many more poor people, and end insurance company abuses like denial of coverage for pre-exisiting illnesses, capping total coverage, and cutting off coverage for those most in need. As Voltaire proclaimed, “Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.” Sick people in this country will gladly take whatever they can get, whether it’s a half loaf or even just a slice. And the tea-baggers, while gorging on massive loaves, refuse to toss even crumbs. WTF?!
Fourth, the tea-baggers’ name calling says much worse about those targeting than those targeted. They called African American congressmen “nigger,” a gay congressman “faggot,” and even one of their own anti-choice congressman a “baby killer.” WTF?!
Fifth, they claim that their opposition stems directly from the need to limit the power of big government and to cut costs. But they orgasmically embraced the Patriot Act and lustfully endorsed the more than $700 billion spent on the lie-based Iraq war — while blindly ignoring the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office’s uncontested conclusion that these health care reforms will reduce the federal budget by nearly $145 billion within just 10 years. WTF?!
And finally, not only was passage of the health care bill “remarkable and improbable” as aptly noted by President Obama, but it was in fact, as precisely noted by Vice President Joe Biden, a “big fucking deal.”
So when I ask the tea baggers “WTF,” I guess Biden answered it. Thanks, Joe!

If you REALLY want my honest opinion, I’ll take it one step further: By offering lazy people healthcare, they will remain healthy, be able to procreate, and produce MORE lazy people who are going to mooch off gov’t funds instead of going out and GETTING A JOB AND SUPPORTING THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES.
THIS COUNTRY IS IN BIG BIG TROUBLE!!!

Just because people protest under the protections of the First Amendment – to peaceably assemble to petition the government for a redress of grievances – WTF gives you the right to call them teabaggers – a term the conjures up a picture of someone with a male’s testical sacs in their mouth leading to, or in concert with fellatio?
But you know all about that don’t you Slice – from personal experience I would hazard?
So you’re an lawyer, eh? Do you know what they call 10,000 lawyers at the bottom of Boston Harbor? It’s called a good head start, asswipe.
Oh, and I really like your interspersing of “WTF” throughout your piece of shit article. Your Mama would be proud that her boy, the lawyer, hasn’t learned a got-damned thing since he “rosed up” from whatever ghetto you “was raised” in.
Did I happen to mention that I think you are an asswipe? Don’t take me wrong Slice, but your disrespectful style of not rising above the fray leaves me little choice, Bro. And you’ve got my email address if you want to continue this on a personal level mister asswipe.

What’s next? Nigger? Faggot? Baby killer? And don’t forget the spitting!
Have a wonderful day, sir.
And by the way, THEY proudly call THEMSELVES “tea baggers.”

Wow. “Ghetto Asswipe.” Is name-calling the best you can do? Well, that certainly moves the health care debate forward in an intelligent fashion.
What’s next? Nigger? Faggot? Baby killer? And don’t forget the spitting!
Have a wonderful day, sir.
By the way, THEY proudly call THEMSELVES “tea baggers.”
My response to his:
Well that was certainly quick. Slow day at the office? “Ghetto Asswipe”? I don’t recall writing that. I called you an asswipe because of your propensity to lower yourself to the level of being an asswipe with your use of “teabaggers” and “WTF”. The word ghetto was used in an entirely different context. Read it again oh mister “Esquire.”
The term “teabaggers” was first introduced into the lexicon as a derisive term for people who call themselves members of the Tea Party by the white-haired 360 bitch who thinks he is a famous commentator. What’s his name? Don’t memember [sic] — but his Mama was some famous perfume or lingerie lady. Without her money he’d just be another piece of shit.
Before you ask me about – or try to goad me into using the same offensive, racially and sexually demeaning language you used in your piece of shit article – that some on the firing line used, which I thought was unnecessary and reprehensible – I’m not going to go there Bro. What I gave you in my response was in response to your insulting piece of shit article – kind of like tit for tat – just to see how you like it.
And I suppose that your piece of shit article helped move the health care debate forward, eh Slice? The only thing it moved was my bowels when I shit myself laughing at how stupidly you presented your argument. Next time I’m in Philly, I’ll be sure to have you handle a case for me. What’s your specialty – OUI’s, wills and other really meaningful civic-minded services like defending rapists and incestors?
I have to go now. I have to wipe my ass with your article.

I also love how you characterize the current “tea bagger” movement as a movement based on the birth place of the president while at the same time painting it with the brush of a sexual act. Very classy. Exactly what you’d expect from leftist trying to rally support.
As a matter of fact and I will copy this strait from the tea party’s official site their mission states “The impetus for the Tea Party movement is excessive government spending and taxation. Our mission is to attract, educate, organize, and mobilize our fellow citizens to secure public policy consistent with our three core values of Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets.” (Sorry I know that is not as inciting or exciting as what you wrote above)
Everyone on the right (myself included) believes that healthcare is broken. No one will sit there and say that someone with a pre existing condition shouldn’t be covered or that all children don’t deserve health coverage. But the left would have you believe that anyone that doesn’t agree with their version of this bill is somehow anti american and against the best parts of the bill. No one wants to talk about the costs that will be past on to future generations that will also be trying to figure out how to pay for social security at the same time. We have set this country up for failure. If you spend more money than you have for too long you will never get out from under the debt. I believe in this great country. I believe that someday it will be stronger than ever. I believe that the longer we continue to spend our way out of problems rather than coming up with real solutions the worse this country will be. Our government fails at every attempt when it tries to enter into free markets domain. Unfortunatly I believe health care will become like the US postal service, Amtrak and social security. Losers that drain our economy of vital resources and make our world worse. The only thing that has kept us a float thus far is capitalism and it will pull us out but not without a certain measure of pain. The ONLY way to get out from under debt is being responsible and make tough life changing cuts. Sorry…nothing is free…except America…for now.

Second: I understand perfectly why we’re fighting a war in Irag and the middle east. WE WERE ATTACKED!!!! We were attacked and we needed to get over there to retaliate. Remember Pearl Harbor, remember the Alamo? Idiot. What should this once very proud nation have done? Hmmmm? Roll over and beg for more? How many times do you think American soil should have been attacked by these extreme terrorists from the middle east and beyond before you would have said we should do something? 9/11 was more than enough times for me.
Third: Health care in this country is run by the insurance companies. Doctors, hospitals, all healthcare professionals do what is allowed by the insurance companies. Reform the insurance company practices to lighten the death grip they have on the healthcare industry and we may have a positive overall effect.
March 25th, 2010 at 7:32 pm
First, though Bee Ho did win the election, it is quite clear that almost 70% of the American populace are against this “healthcare reform”. The polls that Obama lives and dies with confirm this.
Social Security and Medicare were the right thing to do? Based on what? The fact that both are in the red 25 years before they were expected to be? (And just the fact that they were expected to be should be enough) The fact that the two are facing a combined $40 trillion in deficits? What planet does this guy live on?
Coard shows himself to be a committed leftist and anti-business with lines like “it should have had a single payer system to kill the homicidal insurance industry or at the very least a public option to wound the injurious insurance industry.” What kind of idiot hates industry that creates jobs? (You now what jobs are, don’t you? Those things that Bee Ho refuses to do anything about, instead choosing to destroy more and more with each passing day) He also shows himself to have no concept of economics, money, or how wealth is created. (Hint: It’s not created by government, it’s created IN SPITE of government)
To put the cherry on top of this sundae, as a small business owner (I have 5 employees), I have been for the past year working toward offering medical benefits to my employees. As of Sunday night, that quest ended. They will not get medical bene’s from me, they can cry to the government for insurance. Though I’m not sure what this nightmarish bill actually says ( nobody knows) I will not participate in this, and I will work hard and diligently to keep this wealth distribution from touching me. I will do whatever is necessary to keep my taxes down (including cheating at every opportunity) and get myself to the point that I no longer have to deal with the regulation that this community organizing, never had a real effing job loser is imposing on MY country. In other words, sell my business or close it down if I have enough money. It is time for people of good conscience to “Go Galt” and stop supporting these leeches like Bee Ho and Michael Coard.

Now journalist attorneys and many people reading your column will say “yeah we need healthcare”, when in fact they have no idea that the basis of the bill effectively rations healthcare by the way it funds the majority of it.
You didn’t mention that the bill pulls almost as much $$ from the medicare/medicaid program as it purports to save over the 10 year period. You also didn’t mention that the taxes and medicare savings will begin in years 2 and beyond and the benefits don’t start until at least year 3.
The bill gives the HHS director and chief the ability to decide the fates of many people based entirely; in one instance of what she qualifies as a non-mainstream disease with mention in the committee discussions that things like diabetes and CF would be among those. There are so many diabetics in the US now and growing that there is NO possible way that the $$ that were funded for it could take care of it. Also in most cases(not just this example) the funding is done on a one off – meaning that when that amount is used there is no more until the legislators re-fund it. I could go on, but I doubt you will read it all. I would encourage you to read the bill, but you won’t have time. It took me almost 4 months because it is written in a way that references changes to current legislation so you have to go back and understand that legislation before you can understand what the changes do.
If the government would focus on HEALTH and what would drive the illnesses down it would also drive down cost substantially. Things like insuring that people take enough vitamin D3, Vitamin C, and many other supplements some of which are inexpensive and would cut the rate of sickness.
Making using plastic to store food products would cut down on the dioxin that goes into our system when we eat and poisons us. Outlawing aspartame(sweet and low) which metabolizes as a toxic chemical and is stored in fat cells and is likely the cause of the increased immune disorders like lupus and MS that our country is suffering. Read Research (not articles) and you will begin to see that the focus is not where is belongs (on the root of the problem-health). People are fighting over $$$ while the government is looking the other way while they “kill” themselves with the way they eat.
Getting too wordy. Thanks for letting me chime in. I truly hope you will read the bill so you can understand what I’m talking about.
Thanks,

Nice work on your historical stuff – seriously. Looks like you were able to channel that anger into something positive at one time.
That being said, I still think that your post here is full of shit – and I’ll tell you why. You go out of your way to make things right – in your mind, and in real time – and then you wrote this bullshit piece inferring that a certain group of people protesting government actions have a peculiar sexual deviation whereby they like to lick and put men’s ballsacs in their mouths – kind of denigrating in my view. You opened with that bullshit inference – so don’t try to duck it.
You got very angry with some folks using hurtful and demeaning words towards some elected officials in DC and instead of calmly writing about how wrong their actions were, you went on the offensive wearing your “angry black man suit”. You personally haven’t suffered shit like your forebears did. You’ve had it very good along the way – as good if not better that a lot of other people of either race have had. Your “anger” is a bullshit cop-out.
Two wrongs don’t make it right Michael. You blew it. Time for you to do a Latrice Bryant mea culpa and move on from there. You seem like a pretty intelligent guy from your background, but this piece really sucked.
BTW: Thank your Dad for his service for me. I lost mine in the Battle for Okinawa on the last day, in the last hour on 21 June 1945. If anyone should be angry – that would be me…

It is sad that we have to even hesitate to help those around us. Just because there is a perception that helping others does not benefit us directly, does not make that perception true. We all benefit from the increased health and well being of our fellow people. I also see a lot of poor folks at these rallies who are screaming talking points and letting histrionic talking heads lead them down a path that only benefits the most affluent.
Foolish name calling & implicit racism have no place in a meaningful discussion. Shame on Philly Mag for allowing such hateful language to fill their comment section.
I’m looking forward to more articles from Michael Coard.

“I’m having a hard time connecting most of these comments with the actual substance of Michael Coard’s argument.”
A. That’s because Coard had no actual substance in his article, Steve. It was full of shit.
“Foolish name calling & implicit racism have no place in a meaningful discussion. Shame on Philly Mag for allowing such hateful language to fill their comment section.”
A. Perhaps, Steve, you should read what Coard wrote. It was he who reiterated the hateful and racist language that he never personally heard – from his view as being the self-proclaimed “angiest black man in America.”
“I’m looking forward to more articles from Michael Coard.”
A. So am I, Steve. And if he falls off the mark I’m going to tell him he’s full of shit again and again.
In the interim, Steve, perhaps you should read Coard v. Coard, by Dan P. Lee, which appeared in Philly Mag about three years ago (7-2-07 to be exact). It’s too long for me to paste here but with a little looking on your part, you’ll get to know the “angriest black man in America” as only he can describe himself.

Let’s see, Class 235 – that must have been after the young lady from Girls High sued to be able to attend Central, so you must have had more fun than I having all the girls there. Were you one of them by any chance? And what the hell does “See Moreall graduates from Central High School, during any era” mean? You got me there, Sis. Is that a typo or just plain stupidity on your part? Wait, you went to Central. You can’t be stupid can you?
Dumb, but not stupid…
Stand on my own four feet? Low blow, Sis, that’s hitting at or about the teabags you like so much.
As far as me demeaning the conversation, all I did was to light a fire under Coard’s ass for his opening remarks and innuendo about Tea Party people being teabaggers, a term introduced into the vernacular by the 360° white-haired bitch I mentioned before. I seem to recall his name as being “Coopie” something.
It’s okay, I guess, for Coard to use ignorant language, tantamount to using a free-pass race card to make his vapid point, but no one can give it back to him I see – not while you’re on guard duty at least. I’m personally tired of hearing that worn out bullshit and I refused to be goaded by Coard into using the desultory, derogatory language he used. But I did call him an asswipe didn’t I? My bad…
So people like me have no problem with the government spending our money on munitions and ordnance? ‘scuse me – where did I say that? Put down the bong, Sis, that stuff will make your cloud heady [sic]. That I did not fawn over the words of the loquacious Michael Coard as you are wont to do doesn’t necessarily make me a bad guy. I’m not that impressionable.
I’m not even a Tea Party member or a member of the “Party of No” as you and Michael so wrongly assume. I’m just an ordinary American offended that a self-proclaimed “angry black man” can use offensive language as if someone gave him carte blanche. Ain’t happening on my watch, Sis.
As to me “denigrating the esteem of Central,” I guess the cat’s already out of the bag, Sis. And your run-on, incomprehensible comments here have certainly cast some doubt on the Mirrors of yore – that’s for sure.
By the way, Sis, I am speaking for myself. You can continue speaking for Coard, if you wish, because he’s not coming out after having his ass burned with his own hate-filled speech. And speaking of ass, you have my permission to kiss mine any time you want. Please call for an appointment first.

Throwing down the race card (again) I see. That’s pretty lame, Slice, especially after YOU started out your piece-of-shit homily with a sexually offensive term aimed at a particular group of people – if only by graphic inference. Thank goodness it wasn’t racist too or one of the readers, or editors, might have castigated you for it.
You learn very quickly don’t you? Wasn’t it some of the members of our esteemed Congress, and of course our lovely POTUS, who claimed that anyone who dared object to NobamaCare was racist? Perhaps, oh wizened one, Sir Esquire, you can explain that theory to the readers – especially Brucie Boy, Central 235 – who seems to have taken up your “essential” cause.
Perhaps I didn’t make myself clear to you sir. I never insulted your intelligence the way you tried to insult the readers with your off-the-wall bullshit. My complaint was that you denigrated an entire group of people, a political group no less, by inferring that they liked to suck and lick men’s scrotums, which might lead some readers to think that they went a little further than that in the exercise of their sexual proclivities. Would that they also be fellators in your view?
I never said that health care wasn’t important to Americans, even if it was being rammed down their throats – the ones having to pay for it that is – for those who refuse to provide for themselves. I objected to your lowering of yourself to the aforementioned level of denigration and the interspersing of the acronym WTF throughout your specious piece of shit. You opened the door.
That you, as the only qualified expert in the world, were able to repeat reprehensible speech in your piece-of-shit disquisition and get away with it because no one would dare confront the “angriest black man in America” on that “man’s” own terms – well that doesn’t work for me, Slice.
I object to your piece-of shit criticism simply because it’s a piece of shit.

Looking at the syntax in that post makes you either want to laugh or throw up.
Maybe the poster should get over his “White” problems and concentrate on his own – not being able to communicate intelligently – and not being able to communicate without throwing out the well-worn race card.
