Rick Mariano Testifies at City Council Hearing

Life's rough when you're an ex-con trying to get a job

Rick Mariano, the city councilman who went to jail for taking bribes back in 2006, attended a council hearing today to talk about Donna Reed Miller’s proposal to limit how employers can ask about a job applicant’s criminal past. Philly Clout reports:

According to Mariano, many of his friends from prison have had difficulty finding employment.

Everyone loves a good rehabilitation story, but c’mon. Rick’s not exactly your typical ex-con hustling for work (never mind the tats). In fact, the Scoop’s pretty certain that most guys getting out of the joint wish their first call as a free man would be with Congressman Bob Brady.
