HughE Dillon: XIX Most Fashionable Women in Philadelphia

The stylish were honored at the Bellevue last night

Last night fashion designer Nicole Miller and local Nicole Miller store owner, Mary K. Dougherty, unveiled the Second Annual “XIX Most Fashionable Women in Philadelphia” at Nineteen (XIX) at the Bellevue. This event kicked off “Philadelphia Collection 2011,” a citywide series of fashion and style events. Below are a few of this year’s honorees, including Karen Dougherty Buchholz, Comcast VP, Norinda Brown, Brown Betty Dessert Boutique, Risa Vetri Ferman, Montco district attorney, Nydia Han, Action News anchor, Sabrina Tamburino Thorne, Joan and Ellen Shepp, owners of Joan Shepp, Nicole Cashman, Bhavna Shyamalan, wife of director M. Night Shyamalan, and Alana Tosti, Philadelphia Wedding.

Lilliana Vazquez, fashion blogger and regular on the Nate Berkus Show, and Beka Rendell, Style Me Creative, were among the women chosen for 2011’s XIX Most Fashionable Women in Philadelphia. Here, they’re with their husbands, Patrick McGrath and Jesse Rendell, at the celebration.

Below: Honoree Rakia Reynolds, Skai Blue Media, NBC10’s Jillian Mele, NBC10’s Erin Como, and Laura Elliott. Guests were encouraged to bring gently used items to be donated to the Career Wardrobe. Nicole Miller Philadelphia boutiques are also accepting gently worn items through the month of September.

Below: Lindsay Mornhinweg and Tammy Reid. Now that the Eagles season has begun and the Reid kids are away at school, Tammy tells me the wives of the two popular coaches are ready to hit the social circuit, as well as support many of Philadelphia’s charitable causes. They are especially excited to support the Career Wardrobe, which was the night’s charity beneficiary.

Below: Sharon Phillips Waxman and Courtney Craig. It’s amazing these two can get out and about as they are in the midst of preparing for their own big Fashion Collection show next Wednesday: Phasion Phest at the Shops of Liberty Place on the 21st.

Below: Vincent Vienne, GM of the Sofitel, and Sarah Van Aken, SAVA clothing. On Wednesday, SAVA hosts their annual fashion show at 17th and Sansom, and the following Friday, the Sofitel and Evoluer Image Consultants will host the exclusive screening of The Tents, the New York Fashion Week documentary at the Sofitel Philadelphia. Both events are part of the Philadelphia Collection.
