Mayor Nutter Says Violence and Education Problems Hold Philly Back

Today Michael Nutter was sworn in to begin his second term as mayor of Philadelphia. Mayor Nutter delivered a speech as a part of the Inaugural Ceremony at the Academy of Music. Violence and education topped the mayor’s list of problems that he says are holding the city back. The six murders that occurred before the first day of the new year were over help to emphasize Mayor Nutter’s focus on attacking those issues. [Inquirer]
