Buzz Bissinger Questions Ed Rendell’s Inquirer Motives

In an op-ed in the New York Times, Buzz Bissinger–as in the Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, author of the Ed Rendell-centered Prayer for the City, and man responsible for Friday Night Lights–has weighed in on Rendell’s effort to buy the Inquirer, Daily News and philly.com from Philadelphia Media Network. In short, he’s against it and says of Rendell: “Not even the press baron William Randolph Hearst had a résumé as fraught with potential conflicts of interest.” [New York Times]
