Is Joe Banner Trying to Buy the Buffalo Bills?

This morning we learned—via the Inky’s Jeff McLane—that the Eagles were replacing longtime president Joe Banner. Banner will assume a new role with the team, as a strategic adviser. This afternoon, Banner and the team participated in a press conference that was largely uneventful. The always entertaining @FakeWIPCaller summed things up pretty nicely.

Owner Jeffrey Lurie said that he thinks Banner will be successful in whatever he does next. Reid said the team has taken shape the way he’s wanted.

But, then, Howard Eskin tweeted that he hears that Banner is trying to get a group together to buy the Bills.
