The Piazza Deletes Facebook Comment as Residents Try to Get Out of Leases After Most Recent Shooting

As police search for their suspect in connection with the shooting at The Piazza in the early morning hours of June 11th, residents are trying to get out of their leases due to safety concerns. Molly Auer—one of the residents that wants to move out—took to Facebook when after her boyfriend had little luck getting out of their lease. Auer wrote:

Dear Piazza, I have lived at your residents for 8 months and have had my glass balcony shattered by what your employees called either a gun shot or a bb gun. Last night I awoke to gun fire and witnessed a man dying on a gurney to an ambulance. I would now like to move. We have kindly asked to get out of our lease, so now I will be posting here everyday until you oblige.

Thanks!

Bart Blatstein’s Tower Investments removed the comment shortly after it was posted. DelVal Media editor Allie Harcharek—who posted the comment to her Twitter page—was subsequently blocked from The Piazza’s Twitter feed. [Curbed]
