Nike Removes Joe Paterno’s Name From the Child Care Center at Its Headquarters

Following Thursday’s release of the Freeh report and the subsequent press conference held in Philadelphia, Nike has announced that it will remove Joe Paterno’s name from the child care center at its world headquarters in Oregon. The center was previously named the Joe Paterno Child Development Center. Nike Chairman Phil Knight had previously come to Paterno’s defense with a resounding speech at the coach’s memorial service in January. [Deadspin]
