Shane Victorino Reportedly Traded to the Dodgers

Yahoo!’s Tim Brown tweeted at 11:57 a.m. that the Phillies have traded center fielder Shane Victorino to the Dodgers for 25-year-old relief pitcher Josh Lindblom and 23-year-old pitcher Ethan Martin (from AA Chattanooga).

Shane Victorino became a member of the Phillies organization via the 2004 Rule 5 draft. He was batting .261 with 9 home runs, 40 RBIs and 24 stolen bases at the time of the trade. Domonic Brown was scratched from the lineup in Lehigh Valley on Tuesday as it appears he’ll get the call to the Bigs (finally). Looks like he might have learned a thing or two since the last time we saw him.

Josh Lindblom is 2-2 with a 3.02 ERA in 48 appearances for the Dodgers in 2012.

Shane Victorino tweeted a thank you to the Phillies and the team’s fans.
