HughE Dillon: New Uniforms for Phillies Ballgirls
Classic look wins at Macy’s design competition.
Jessica Mintz (second from right), a 2011 graduate from Drexel University, stood out among 14 finalists to win first place in the Macy’s design competition for her Phillies ballgirl uniform. She said she wanted it to look classic, sleek and be comfortable for the ladies, so she went with pinstripes and stretchy material. Yesterday, Phillies PR director Scott Palmer (right) was on hand for the debut of the uniforms at Macy’s. The ballgirls will only wear this uniform when they make appearances at events, and not on the field.
