New Jersey’s medical marijuana system is continuing its rocky path to fruition this week, with many current patients and advocates saying that the system is confusing, expensive and not fully-functional as of yet. Since registrations began last month, there have only been 130 patients registered, which is extremely low compared to a state like Arizona, which saw some 700 patient signups after its system debuted last year. That might have something to do with having only 160 doctors registered as MMJ-affiliated physicians of more than 36,000 statewide. Or it could be that those 160 docs charge as much as $500 to make a recommendation. Then again, it could just be that after all that, the physical MMJ card itself will still cost you $200. Hey Christie, how about a little help? [Inquirer]
