Behold the instrument of your liberation! The Phillies will call up 26-year-old first baseman(?) Darin Ruf on Monday. The Minor League slugger hit a million 20 home runs in August, tying Sammy Sosa’s record for most longballs in a month of professional baseball. He was named Eastern League MVP and Rookie of the Year. Ruf recently started spending some time in the outfield because, apparently, the Phils already have some guy playing first base?
