Forbes Drops Jeffrey Lurie From List of 400 Richest People in America

Forbes released it’s annual list of the 400 richest people in America. Absent from this year’s Forbes 400 is Jeffrey Lurie. Last year, Lurie came in at No. 375, but his divorce has made him as one of the 14 Americans to crack the $1 billion mark but fall short of the $1.1 billion cutoff for this year’s list.

Richard Hayne, founder of Urban Outfitters, was ranked at the No. 326 spot on this year’s list with $1.4 billion. Coatesville’s Mary Alice Dorrance Malone—a Campbell’s Soup heir—earned a split of the 190th spot thanks to her reported $2.4 billion.

Though not a billionaire, Bon Jovi is featured on the Forbes cover because the issue focuses on philanthropic endeavors of the rich and famous. Bon Jovi’s foundation’s Soul Kitchen in Jersey and his work with Convenant House in Philly helped him a spot on the cover. [Inquirer]
