Police Use Twitter, Facebook to Catch Criminals


The Philadelphia Police Department has announced that it has made 100 arrests thanks to their social media presence. A statement released on the department’s website boasts of 47,000 “likes” on Facebook and says that criminals featured in surveillance footage released online have a 39-percent chance of being captured.
