Good News: The Eagles Fired Somebody. Bad News: It’s Not Who You Think.

Yes, Eagles fans have been calling for heads, but this probably isn’t the one they meant. The team on Tuesday fired Rob Zeigler, their vice president of communications, the man who oversaw the Eagles’ public affairs department. It can only be assumed Zeigler lost his job because he couldn’t somehow convince fans that a 3-7 record, a lousy offensive line, and a fumble-prone starting quarterback were all really, really great things—and if you can’t make chicken salad out of that chicken crap, do you really deserve a job in PR? Meanwhile, Andy Reid—who is clearly ready for this season to end if somebody would just have some mercy on his soul—still has a job. For more on this, check our Birds 24/7 blog later today.
