Graham Spanier Not Allowed to Attend Wedding in Slovakia

Ex-Penn State President Graham Spanier has been defiantly denying Sandusky-related accusations against him and his university for months now, so it wasn’t exactly surprising when he asked for a little casual reprieve from the terms of his bail last month. A month after being charged in November with endangering the welfare of children, among other things, Spanier asked the state to let him travel to Germany to visit a Holocaust memorial, to Slovakia for a wedding, and to the U.K., where he apparently has some business with the State Department. This after accusing Gov. Corbett of prosecuting him out of personal spite. The state chortled and said “uh, no”, but did grant him the right to travel outside Pennsylvania. [AP]
