Delaware Unveils Gun Control Plan

On the one month anniversary of the Sandy Hook massacre, Delaware Governor Jack Markell unveiled his five-point plan for gun control, which he’s lobbying the state legislature to pass. (It’s similar, but not identical to Ed Rendell’s five-point plan.) Without further ado, the proposal:

1. No guns within 1,000 feet of a school.

2. Background checks for all guns (closing loopholes whereby one can buy arms from privatize citizens).

3. Mandatory for gun owners to report lost or stolen guns.

4. Ban large magazines: 10 bullet max for handguns, five bullet max for rifles.

5. Ban assault weapons.
