Obama to Call for Assault Weapons Ban, Universal Background Checks Today

Today President Obama will reveal his proposal for gun control, surrounded on a stage by a group of children who wrote him letters in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook massacre. He will call for a ban on assault weapons and high capacity magazine checks, and for universal background checks.
