What a great PR move! Congrats Cole and Heidi . . . I smell a huge Hollywood acceptance of you two now that you have adopted a black kid. I think it goes without saying that Heidi pushed for this as show continues her push towards a career in some sort of TV. And what a lucky kid! Saved from a life in Ethiopia this kid will now have it’s fanny wiped and kissed by millionaire’s every time theirs a camera within ear shot!

This is political correctness on steroids but if something works, go with it. Do any of you think Action News will have ANYTHING but positive to say about this blessed event on TV? Of course not. Two narcissist’s adopt a black kid. What could possibly go wrong?

Question: When was the last time any of you saw a story on TV about a person adopting a white kid?

I am grateful that the Hamels have enlarged their family through adoption, and that this child has become a part of a caring family. This child is not just “a black (sic) kid”; he/she is a child deserving of love and caring – just as you once were.

It is unfortunate that this couple’s act of love and caring may be viewed as narcissism by some, like you. In a world of pain and despair, we should celebrate love wherever we find it.

Finally, because human beings are oriented toward procreation and the nurture of life, the bringing of a child into the family circle almost always engenders celebration. I recall people making a lot of noise when Rosie O’Donnell adopted (White) children. Added to that, the news recently featured intense coverage about White children in Russia waiting/hoping to be adopted.
