I’ll make this brief, since this is just chapter IV in a developing story. First, Christie appeared on Dave Letterman to eat a donut. Then, a former (Republican!) White House doctor worried on CNN that he would “die in office.” Then, Christie bashed her during a press conference by calling her a “hack” who wanted her five minutes in the limelight. (I’d agree, by the way. What kind of self-respecting doctor goes on daytime CNN?) Now, it turns out Christie himself called her up in Arizona to scream at her repeatedly. ”It was hard to get anything across,” the doctor said.
Though the Inquirer‘s Christie beat writer Matt Katz reported this, he’s still annoyed that it’s all anyone seems to care about. So out of a sense of duty to the important, but less salacious stuff Katz has been reporting, I’ll reprint what he says he wants you to read:
Controversies over billion-dollar Sandy rebuilding contracts? Vetoes of a minimum-wage increase, affordable housing measures and internet gambling? None of that apparently matters, because the governor is fat.
Happy now? [Inquirer]
