Staphmeal’s Joshua Scott Albert Pleads Guilty, Gets Out of Jail

It seems just like days ago that we were telling you that Joshua Scott Albert, the infamous gossip blogger behind Staphmeal, was hanging out in maximum security awaiting trial. Come to think of it, that was just days ago.

Well, we are, er, ambivalent to report that the 26-year-old has negotiated a plea deal and is back on the streets.

Here’s a tweet he sent out on Sunday:

According to court records, Albert pleaded guilty to two counts each of terroristic threats and harassment. Prosecution dropped the remaining charges, which included the hefty felony known as criminal solicitation to commit murder.

Albert was sentenced to up to 23 months in jail but was credited for time served and immediately paroled. He’ll be on probation for the next year, and it appears that he may have plans to leave Philadelphia for good, as indicated by this note on his sentencing record: “Probation permissible to be transferred to California.” One can only hope.
