Combine McDonald’s and Fashion, and This Is the Result

The last thing a woman thinks as she's whipping out the credit card for new threads is "Can I have fries with that?" But that didn't stop six local fashion designers from creating "Premium McWrap-inspired" ensembles to benefit the (very worthy) Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House. The pieces were modeled last night at Bloomingdale’s in KOP, and they're now up for bid at an online auction here. I'm sure they come ketchup-stain-free, and that they're likely to make you irresistible to most men—even if they're not quite sure why.

Alas, Kacie McDonnell Not Leaving Fox 29 to Marry Prince Harry

Fox 29 traffic reporter Kacie McDonnell stalked Prince Harry during the royal Jersey Shore visit today, but alas, her dreams of becoming SILs with Kate aren't happening (for now, because, you never know, and I don't want to be the one to say a girl's not princess material). Naturally, Fox 29's Jennaphr Frederick was Kacie's winglady.

Really, this is all for the best because who needs the paparazzi constantly trying to snap you topless and hours of painful small talk in receiving lines and endless thrusting of posies into one's hands and the constant comparison to another long-haired brunette at the...

Eagles Cheerleaders Will Shoot Swimsuit Calendar at Jersey Shore in Eco-Friendly Bikinis

Got you with "eco-friendly," didn't I?

The Eagles cheerleaders will be down the Shore May 6-9 posing for their 2013 swimsuit calendar, and they plan to shoot at such iconic spots as the Cape May Lighthouse and Lucy the Elephant in Margate. The team says calendar proceeds will go to Hurricane Sandy relief:

The cheerleaders will share their favorite shore memories in the calendar as well as historic information about the locations featured. In addition to wearing eco-friendly bikinis, many of the accessories were made by businesses in NJ and will reinforce the theme of the calendar, such as a recycled silver...

Philadelphia police charged 18-year-old Ciarra Ryan with simple assault after she was accused of punching Olivia Nutter in the face after a track meet in East Mount Airy. Mayor Nutter's spokesman told the Inquirer that Olivia, who is a student at Masterman High School, is now "fine."

NBC reports:

The mayor's daughter was walking towards a group of girls when one of them told Nutter to move, according to police. Moments later, police say, Nutter was assaulted.

Missing Bryn Mawr Man Caught Up in Boston Manhunt

During the manhunt for at least two Boston bombing suspects over night—and before police reported that they were searching for two brothers from Chechnya—Bryn Mawr's Sunil Tripathi, who has been a student at Brown University and was reported missing last month, got temporarily linked in online reports and social media to "suspect #2." People who saw a resemblance in the FBI's suspect photos called Radnor Township police to name Tripathi.

… About a dozen news vans descended on Tripathi's family's home in the predawn darkness, preparing to report news that was fueled by Internet speculation that was ultimately unfounded. Among them...

Photos: Philly Runs for Boston

About 2,000 Philadelphians ran from City Hall to the Liberty Bell last night in what Philly Mag health and fitness editor Emily called "the most amazing, most uplifting event I have ever participated in."

I learned later that the Philadelphia Runners folks had no idea until five minutes before we left that city police would block off the streets. But there they were, police cars posted at every intersection, officers giving high-fives to the enthusiastic runners as we went by, and pedestrians, confused at first, erupting in to cheers when they figured out what the heck we were doing.

First Look: Michelle Obama’s New Portrait

There's the new bangs, yes, but I'm certain this new official second-term portrait of First Lady Michelle Obama won't cause as much of a ruckus as the recently unveiled Kate Middleton portrait in England, making photographs over paintings just one more smart post-revolutionary move for the United States. How many hours did Princess Kate have to sit for Paul Emsley? Meanwhile, White House photographer Chuck Kennedy probably snapped this while Mrs. O. was on her way to breakfast.
